A young man and his wife have died after they shot outside their Melbourne home on New Year’s Eve in Yarraville. The victims have been identified as Veton Musai (29-year-old) and his wife Lindita (25-year-old). The incident took place around 10.30am on Tuesday, just two days after celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Lindita died at the scene and her husband was taken to hospital with critical injuries and died on Wednesday afternoon. They were found with upper body gunshot wounds and weapon was later found not far from the scene. It’s understood minutes after they walked into the house, they answered a knock at the door by Mrs Musai’s estranged father. He allegedly gunned them down. The 55-year-old from Altona North then turned the weapon on himself but survived and was taken to hospital under police guard.
