A man has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a train in Sydney’s south this afternoon. The man suffered a fractured leg, pelvic injuries and a head injury after being hit by a passenger train in Caringbah just after 2pm. The 20-year-old man was taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition. Police told reporters that the reason why the man was on the train tracks is unknown. The accident caused delays on the Cronulla line for more than an hour.
