A 18-year-old boy, Kane Alexanderson, has died in hospital after being stabbed in the chest during a Brisbane hotel room brawl on Australia day. Kane and two 17-year-olds were stabbed during the altercation at the IStay River City hotel on Brisbane’s Albert St in the late hours of January 26. Mr Alexanderson was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with a life-threatening injury and died from his wounds on Saturday. One of the younger teens suffered significant facial injuries while the other suffered wounds to his abdomen and shoulder but both have been discharged from hospital.
