A two-month-old baby is in hospital after being flung from a car window during an accident in Sydney’s east overnight. The driver, a 48-year-old woman, was allegedly driving an unregistered Toyota Tarago through Botany just after 7pm when she hit the gutter and crashed into a steel fence. The baby, who police believe was riding without any restraints, was flung from the car window. The infant was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick for observation however appeared to be uninjured. Three other passengers, including a 19-year-old woman, were also uninjured. The driver suffered a minor wrist injury as was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital under police guard.
